The is a very entertaining pennysaver auction site. you have the option of bidding on an item or buying it in most cases. The buy it now option is less of a bargain then auctioning on it but if you see an item you just really don't want to lose out on it is a great alternative to bidding. There is a great selection of items and they are always changing. You can grab anything from gift cars, electronics to home furnishings and bedding. The customer service is top notch. They will assist you immediately with any issues.

The first time I ever checked out the QuiBids website I was just browsing but not ready to commit to it. I did not realize that as soon as you enter your debit or credit info you will be charged. I think they should make that a little more clear. I did however contact customer service and was refunded immediately. As a result of their prompt service I visited the site when I was ready to start bidding and became a member.

My experience has been great. I have had a lot of fun bidding on items. I have bought a couple of things with the buy it now option as well. A couple of items where not exactly what I expected but that is to be expected with any purchase from these auction sites. Overall the products were good, the experience is thrilling. There is a lot of fun in watching the bids and hoping you win!

It's easy to see that the page is pretty scammy. When someone has to put the BBB Accredited Business logo at the top of the page, you know you can avoid it. It's like when Chinese restaurants say, We don't use MSG anymore!

Drawbacks:

The whole thing is more of an advertisement than an auction site. Why is there so much pressure to convince me, when all I want to do is bid on items.

We appreciate that SchoolAuction.net is forever improving itself. Supprt truly listens to feedback and then goes about making changes. We appreciate the easiness of the software to use for our Spring Gala and auction needs. We were especially pleased with showing off the catalog last year. Once our pics and descriptions were in and we published it to our families, we were really proud of how the catalog looked. It was very professional and gave our families a huge preview of what was to come at the event.

Easy to learn and use. Great documentation. Superb customer service. Comprehensive feature set and flexible enough to meet needs outside of our original auction intent. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Drawbacks:

Would have enjoyed a little more customization capability in the site look-and-feel, but the included templates were good enough to meet our needs.

We had been using a different auction package for a few years. It had a dated, inefficient interface. It tripped us up in the middle of our event. We needed something more modern and responsive. We were investigating more expensive, top-tier packages when another volunteer saw SchoolAuction.net in an ad. We read up on it and found it had the features we wanted, but seemed like just a small startup (loved the story, but could they support us?). I called and had their founder on the phone in no time and he quickly put me at ease with their ability to meet our needs and support our events. We decided to try it out and were not disappointed. The documentation was amazingly clear and very easy to follow. We got rapid support when we needed it. Including a few more calls to their founder who also helped us get connected with a payments gateway. We pulled off a great event and were even able to re-use the software for other events within the same year. ALL of our events yielded higher revenue than in past years as a result of their great tools and we saved money over the other packages we evaluated.

As one of the administrators of the auction, I spent a lot of time using SchoolAuction.net and the more familiar I was with it the more I liked it, however, it was hard for people who could only donate a small amount of time to help with it, which was problematic.

Benefits:

There are real people behind this program who are happy to answer questions and help as much as possible.

Drawbacks:

Data reports and exports aren't the best.
