I used the free version in college in a digital games course, nowadays I try to improve a game, it is quite effective, several ready-made features, but many have yet to be programmed, but it is a great tool.

Drawbacks:

I think it is suitable for beginners and studies, it is a good tool for small and medium games at most, other than that I would use other software.

I like the easy to use User Interface, and the tons of features it provides to make games for any platform, ranging from mobile to VR. I love the Unity community as well, there are just so many resources and videos to learn from. I also love the new VFX and the Shader graph features, these have helped me immensely.

It provides so many languages so that you can pick your own language your own platform to develop the games. It provides compatibility for all the platforms like web, android, iOS. So it is more convenient for the developers to pick the platform and develop the application. Next generation is for gaming lovers. So you have better chance to build career there.

Drawbacks:

Nothing as much you need to learn at least basics of programming to start working with unity. That's all you need once done you are ready to go.

Summary:

I love the fact that his fantastic piece of Technology is free - to get started. It has so many features that act as black boxes, you don't need to worry about the rendering, the physics calculations, and the game engine part. You can just focus on making your game, and now with visual scripting, it will be much more accessible to designers and artists, too.

Not much to complain about, but some of my few niggles are that a good number of features are still in development (a.k.a Preview Packages) and are half-baked. Other than that, I really love using this software.

Summary:

I love making my games with Unity, and if Unity sorts out its features and pipelines, it will be hard to move away from it.
