Benefits:
Provide all of the details about your benefit offerings, the system will then ask employees questions and based on the answers provide the best option for the plans you offer. Alex even has a sense of humor! Really helps employees to understand what benefits might fit their household best as well as educate them on how the plans work etc!!! Great tool and very easy to use!!!!
Drawbacks:
Quite expensive, unfortunately small employers will not be able to quantify the costs even though the benefits it brings to the employees is quite impressive.
In sum:
This software can help take some of the load off the benefits team during OE and all year with answering many of the general questions on how their benefits work!!!!

Benefits:
It saves a lot of time with employees, who are customers of your organization. The software Alex asks questions and based upon answers given shows costs of various health plans. In our case we offer HMO, PPO, and some over 65 plans. Alex really helps give the info in a very understandable manner.
Drawbacks:
The cost of the product runs upwards for the life of owning/using the product. I believe that is worth it, however, costs like that require high levels of approval in most organizations so unless you are the decision maker expect it to be some time before you are enjoying Alex
