I wish the drag and drop attachments was easier to use. I believe this problem comes from using Chrome but it can be frustrating when you don't drag to the right spot and it opens the pdf ext in the browser.

If I am not set up to receive the submittal or RFI when the architect does, it creates an extra step. I cannot respond to the RFI or submittal if it is in the architects court. This seems archaic.

Once you have populated the database with a lot of information it becomes bogged down and is difficult to select from lists since you can't always sort them in the way you want. As an example, invoices sort from the oldest to the newest. We have thousands upon thousands and I find it annoying to sift through huge amounts of data. Reports have to be custom built either yourself using SQL or by PMWeb. Just because you populate a field does not mean that you can get the info out.

It's an extremely vital resource to have, and makes it easy to check everyone's credentials. It has been especially useful during covid to make sure everyone fills out their questionnaire.

At Newport Painting, we love how SkillSignal easily connects the office staff with our field employees. Our main use for this software, is to keep track of our employees' certifications, given that they are critical within the Construction Business. SkillSignal is very easy to navigate, for all employees inside and outside the office. Setting our profile up was swift, and Skillsignal administrators walk their clients through the setup process, and answer any questions you have.

Drawbacks:

Something that can be improved- sending the administrator an email notification when an employee uploads their certifications and documents.

Overall experience is easy, convenient, and crucial for remaining safe in Construction.

The biggest issue is with some peoples fear that they are being "tracked". I know it's easy to say they are not, but it is a real fear that they have. I would like to see a way of showing them that they are not being tracked. In tandem to this issue, we needed to then have a paper document to have people, that did not want to use this application, sign for access to the site and contact trace. It would be nice if there were an easier way to add them to the Skill Signal system so we have one location to get the information for the project.

Summary:

On the whole, it helped give people a sense of calm in the peak of the Covid-19 for contact tracing purposes.
