Benefits:

USER FRIENDLY , EASY TO GET USED TO AND HELPFUL IN EVERYDAY WORK. I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING THIS PRODUCT.

Drawbacks:

IT IS QUITE PRICEY , BUT WORTH IT, HOWEVER, I DONT LIKE THE FACT THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO IMPORT CERTAIN DATA AUTOMATICALLY FROM FMCSA DUE TO UPPER AND LOWER CASE, DASH, COMAS ETC

EASIER TO TRACK INFORMATION FLOW AND KEEP EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE

Benefits:

It has many features. Probably everything a transportation/brokerage would need, but it does it doesn't do it very well.

Drawbacks:

Very bad quality. The interface seemed very outdated. It was very difficult to use or even learning. Vendor charges you for everything it can. Overall very bad experience.

Benefits:

With McLeod you can have all your data in one place. You don't have to forward or share data between departments since its all there.

Drawbacks:

Some process are too complicated, when it could be easier.

In sum:

Overall I am satisfied with software.

Benefits:

The software offers double posting for transactions. You can easily search for posted transactions. If the deposit total doesn't match, after all the invoice payments are applied, the deposit posting will not be completed. Sticky buttons, and does not need to take up my entire computer screen.

Drawbacks:

If I search for a transaction that is entered but not yet posted, it will not show up in my search. It doesn't allow an easy way to make a "cash receipt." A cash receipt has to be entered for each customer individually before you can finish and post the deposit.

In sum:

Easy to learn how to navigate

Benefits:

I like the ease of importing the mailing list and being able to dulplicate previous campaigns. The that that it is free for some mailings in also a bonus.

Drawbacks:

It is easy to access and the standard designs are limited in versitility. You can't make changes easily or delete parts you don't want iike the gray space for the header. I spent most of the day today working in Mail Chimp and the look of my mailing on the edit side was different from the preview side. It was inonvenient because I had to keep copying and pasting my work into Microsoft Word in order to make some of the revisions. Then I had to do additional revisions when copying the document back into the Mail Chimp email.

Benefits:

You can pretty much run any report you need, from tractors and trailers dispatched to employee anniversaries and birthdays.

Drawbacks:

Tough to figure out at first, there is so much information that at first it can be overwhelming to find what you're searching for.

Benefits:

It does everything that you could want it to do for a TMS system. The software is scalable and able to fit any size business and their needs. You can custom tailor the software and pick and choose what it is you want. The Driver Branded App is also a great tool to safe on time and costs with your drivers.

Drawbacks:

It is very very expensive. This can actually be quite cost prohibitive to smaller companies, but if you can understand that in terms of overall long term investments, this is worth it in the end.

Benefits:

extensive detail and features available.

Drawbacks:

NOT user friendly at all! A very complex system with no guidance.

In sum:

Very complicated, not easy to use at all!

Benefits:

McLeod is very powerful with lots of features.

Drawbacks:

Design, ease of use, features being available, ...the list could go on forever. Customer Service and training is a joke. Need help? You call, get billed for it, and the person you talk to has no idea what they are doing either.

In sum:

Benefits:

This software is great for asset management and keeping an employee database. The accounting functions work well after you become comfortable with McLeod. And there are many, many reports you can run with the stored data.

Drawbacks:

I really don't have anything nice to say about this software as an operations/transportation tool. It creates empty moves and therefore disrupts the integrity of your data. It needs to be customized for your specific situation, and I don't believe that is currently an option.
