Closing Folders has allowed me to make my practice so much more efficient - it's also made practicing law way more enjoyable. The days of mindless administrative work on transactions are a thing of the past. I use Closing Folders nearly every day - from large M&A transactions to small matters with just a few documents. I can't imagine going back to practicing law without the use of Closing Folders.

Drawbacks:

None - the Closing Folders team is really receptive to feedback, and they keep rolling out new features to make the product better and better

One of the features I like most is the ease of importing documents from our document management system to Closing Folders. With many cloud solutions which do not integrate with our DM this is a multistep process. Closing Folders addresses this by being able to send documents from our DM directly to the deal on the platform. Added bonus was the integration with DocSign.

Drawbacks:

For users not familiar with running deals in a paper based world the leaning curve can be a bit steep but very short. Excellent help is available.

I started using Closing Folders pre-pandemic and I was able to switch from being in the office with the other members of the deal team to working remotely. The deals in process were able to proceed seemlessly despite such a jarring change.

This software is so helpful when working on acquisition transactions. It allows us to effectively manage versions of documents and signatures. The functionality that allows opposing counsel to view documents without editing eliminates dozens of emails and facilitates a faster closing. Closing folders saves hours post closing administrative work and creates client ready closing books.

Drawbacks:

Updating the agenda can be a little clunky and time consuming. A few too many clicks necessary to do what you're trying to achieve.

This software makes it extremely easy for keeping track of documents and the execution of the documents. It is also useful for multiple people to be working on the same deal at the same time.

Drawbacks:

There seem to be many functions that could be completed in bulk, but at this point we have to take a long time to complete functions individually.
