Benefits:
Our industry requires creativity and adaptability to meet the needs of our members, employees, and technology. Orbit offers us a product that can be continuously customized to fit our ever evolving organizational requirements.
Drawbacks:
A great product often comes with a high price. We are a small utility so the cost does seem relatively high.
In sum:
The transition to the software package was fairly difficult, but once we adjusted to the program, our employees have enjoyed using the suite. It is definitely seen as a major upgrade over what we had in the past.

So many ways to get to the end point. At times, errors can develop since there are so many customized options.

I love the flexibility of the product and the ability to export anything into excel for analysis. CSA stands behind their software and is always available to help with questions. You'll will not find better support in the utility software market.
Drawbacks:
It takes sometime to learn about all the customization features because there are just so many options.
In sum:
We've reduced a significant amount of data entry in the form of journal entries by using Orbit Suite. This reduces errors that are often associated with manual data entry.
