Benefits:

The one piece I think about when I think of BizFlow is the simplicity. It makes my day at the office more manageable and helps me become a more organized and efficient employee.

Drawbacks:

There is nothing on Bizflow's end that I believe is disadventageous.

In sum:

Overall, I've had a great experience with BizFlow.

In sum:

Note : Reviewing as a BPM Application Developer Pros - There are certain barely noticeable (for novice BizFlow Application Developers)but extraordinary features like copy paste rules in the WebMaker tool, turning previous version of a process definition to active and many such saving the time of a developer. Ease of consuming external web services, creating dashboards using user friendly BizCoves features are a big plus. Coming from a. NET background and creating applications on this Java based tool has been quite easy because of its intuitive features. As a Bizflow application user, when you are allowed to create ad hoc tasks for certain unpredictable exceptional cases and monitor those tasks using emails and reports, you can add them as part of the process after certain repetition and save a lot of time in completing those tasks in future. Cons - On rare occasions, you can't see the projects in the WebMaker workspace. So you need to take regular back-up of your WebMaker Projects (daily preferred) which is eventually a good practice. Suggestion - There should be an inbuilt look up table feature added in the tool which application administrators can use. By look up table, I mean the table which can be used to add static values like Country names, City names, Product Categories & their respective Products in the database. These values can be bound to the drop down fields in the front end using WebMaker's existing data source feature.

«Solid Product for BPM and Case Management»

In sum:

Having worked with many BPM and ECM products over the past 20 years, I have found the BizFlow Plus BPM Suite and Case Management framework to provide an extensive set of out-of-the-box functionality that accelerates the appdev life cycle. Business Analysts can quickly get projects started with process modeling, forms design, and wizard-driven UI configuration. For straight through processing, developers can use pre-configured APIs. I especially like the Event Response Adaptor which listens to external data sources to automatically trigger and/or update workflows. Inherent to the case management capabilities are dynamic tasking, note taking, and correspondence management. Data ties directly to process metrics (inputs, outputs) and SLA measures to automatically escalate and/or notify others when needed. Also included are super-user configurable workflow distribution logic, absence management, form fields, and letter templates. As I have worked with BizFlow I have seen the need for even more functionality supporting multi-channel, multi-system events. I have been pleased see BizFlow invest in R&D to provide developers a clever SOAP and REST-based Web Services configuration capability. It allows developers to more easily access external data sources, specify queries, pull data, aggregate data, and return it in a standard format. Our team has used it to integrate with FileNet, SalesForce.com, and multiple legacy systems (policy administration, claims) to create line-of-business apps that include sophisticated triage, intake, indexing, adjudication, dispatch and settlement activities. With BizFlow we know that we can build and delivery enterprise class applications in very deliberate and aggressive time frames. Working with BizFlow (the company) has also been a good experience. I can speak directly with BizFlow's solution architects, head of R&D and CEO to discuss project requirements, product strategy, and best practice implementation approach. The personal attention is invaluable when implementing critical business solutions. I encourage BizFlow to continue building out its BPM-based Case Management frameworks. With its deep experience developing request-to-service solutions, BizFlow now has great potential to completely package domain and process logic for areas such as customer on-boarding, Policy Administration, Customer Service, and Claims. This is especially true for insurance.

«This is really decent process modeling software»

Usability

Overall rating

Benefits:

This is a nicely ordered suite of business process modeling tools. It has enough consolidation between components to make developing usable business process models less difficult than with some other tools. They are small enough to be able to provide updates to the tools as requested by customers of the software. The suite provides an organization or enterprise with the power and flexibility to drive a process modeling practice within the organization, capable of supporting either internal or external projects, or both.

Drawbacks:

Like most integrated suites of this ilk, the suite is self contained to the point of being unable to coordinate with external tools or components. It has good support for external data sources, but not great support of that type

In sum:

Using this software allowed the initial creation of what can be described as a separate integrated business unit for modeling business processes. This could be for internal or external clients.
