«Camunda Platform Developer and Users Talking the Same Language»

Usability

Support

Features

Overall rating

Benefits:

the design of the process and workflow of the software is very good, easy to understand between users and developers, from the developer they can generate the class of code based on the process that designed between users and dveloper centralize workflow that can work by cross team between developer and users.

Drawbacks:

its work perfectly already, i have no comment about this.

In sum:

well, we are the users and we ask the developer to develop software for us, but while drawing only the workflow on the paper and present to each other every week, finally we got the software that is not what we need, start from the developer try to find the business platform analyse and put on the desk together, they recommend camunda, I never know before too, but when start using it with developer company we find out its easy to use, and we can solve problem quicker than before we know what is system automate function, what is users have to input in system, that why i said camunda solve our communication between developer and users.

«Powerful process automation solution»

Usability

Support

Features

5

Overall rating

Benefits:

This is a full fledged BPM workflow engine solution that also supports DMN. I found it very flexible: it can be setup as an embedded process engine, standalone, clustered, or even in the cloud. It offers modeling capabilities, forms management, flows monitoring, REST APIs and integration with some of the most popular Java Frameworks. It seems they didn't miss a bit.

Drawbacks:

As in most of this kind of products the learning curve is steep. Support for databases other than relational is non existent. Building your own version of the Tasklist webapp requires a lot of work.

In sum:

This is a very complete product. It covers a lot of the use cases that come up in practice when dealing with BPM flows. It is well-documented, stable, and lightweight (depending on the actual setup). So far very happy with it.

Benefits:

The ability to map processes and build unique functioning digital structures

Drawbacks:

The product needs to become ready to implement in AWS or similar solutions - it has to become more user friendly in some ways.

In sum:

We are digitizing our entire business with great ease

«best open source process engine»

Usability

Support

Features

5

Overall rating

Benefits:

It's open source, it's fully compatible with the BPMN, DMN, CMMN standards (so its models could be interchanged with other standard-compatible tools), the dev & support teams are incredible, it's very lightweight and very fast (which means it scales extremely well) and it has a great REST API interface. Plus it has one of the best modelers out there, free of charge.

Drawbacks:

This engine is a developer-friendly engine, which means you hook the engine to your own software solution in order to create a complete business app. So while it is perfect for developers, it is not suited for regular business users who still believe in the low-code / no-code myth.

In sum:

We've been developing full-fledged BPM applications on the camunda engine for the past two years and we are continuously excited by the frequent and consistent updates the camunda team provide to the engine every six months.

«Simple BPMN Workflow builder at the right price.»

Usability

Support

Features

4

Overall rating

Benefits:

It's free and that is the best element. It is very simple and rudimentary but for most users, building a simple swim-lane workflow is all they need.

Drawbacks:

Unable to link workflow documents together. Only way to import the documents is to save the data as a png or jpg and then import into another document. Also the lack of font selection is a miss.

In sum:

Good, basic and easy to support. Supplies what most of our business users need.
